Visions and Values
At St Peter’s, our vision is something that motivates and inspires us and keeps us focused on where we want to go as a school. It’s a vision for everyone in the school: the children, staff, parents and governors. It is underpinned by the Bible verse ‘All things are possible.’ Mark 9:23.
School Vision statement
Our Values School
Our values are the ways that we seek to do things at St Peter’s. As a joint-faith school, our values are based on the Christian faith, however they are also values that are crucial in the social and emotional development of every person within our school community, whatever their faith or background.
Our whole-school worship, class worship, RE & PSHE lessons each allow us to reflect and deepen our understanding of our values. In addition, both pupils and staff support each other in demonstrating these values on a day-to-day basis simply by conducting themselves in an acceptable manner.
All together, we focus on six values each year here at St Peter’s. Each school term we focus on a different value, asking ourselves how we can demonstrate this value ourselves and celebrate it in others.
Throughout the school year children have opportunities to revisit and reflect on the values they have previously studied.
Our six values are for 2024/2025:
- Trust
- Thankfulness
- Peace
- Friendship
- Creativity
- Courage
We have a strong Christian ethos and say our school prayer daily in Collective Worship:
