On Thursday 18^th April, Years 3 and 4 were visited  by a very special guest, ‘Nick the Viking’!He explained who the Norse were, where they travelled to and why they raided other countries.

We looked at artefacts and played Viking games. We held real swords and shields and discussed life in those times. We learned about jarls, karls and thralls (the different people in society) and what would happen if you stole some sheep!

It was a great interactive experience for teachers and children alike!
