Y6 took part in a STEM Day titled 'Bio-Blitz' with schools across the Bridge Family of Schools. We were lucky to have our very own STEM ambassador, Rod Jones (an Engineer) to support us and share the line of engineering he specialises in. We collected data from the school grounds and recorded the biodiversity of our environment. We listened to talks from other STEM ambassadors including a ship's engineer, Nuclear engineer from Hinkley Point and a construction engineer. The afternoon was spent looking at varies was to construct things using Lego.
